slats offer three ways for a child or adult to operate a battery-powered device in a rehabilitation orhome setting, when used with a switch and battery adapter. requires 9v battery (not included).

timed seconds mode
• allows a battery-powered device to operate for 1–60 seconds with a single switch activation
• use for quick activities like pencil sharpening

timed minutes mode
• allows battery-powered devices to operate for 1–60 minutes with a single activation
• use for lengthier activities such as playing a keyboard

latch mode
• turns a device “on” with one switch activation, and “off” with a second
• useful to have a radio or lamp remain on for an extended time

using slats can help improve a client’s visual attention, head control, cognitive ability, play skills and active participation. also enables children or adults to perform activities and tasks at home. battery device adapters let slats be used with any aa, c, or d battery-powered device.
