The Safer Automatic Wheelchair Lock automatically locks the wheelchair wheels when a person's weight is lifted from the seat of the chair. So, by default, they are in the locked position until the time that weight is applied by the user.

 

This is how we are able to ensure that each and every time the wheelchair is unoccupied the wheels will be locked until the time that the user has safely transferred into the wheelchair.
