Kölbs Air Cell Cushions are designed to over superior pressure prevention. Wheelchair users are at significant risk for developing pressure ulcers due to prolonged periods of sitting. Through the use of adjustable air cells, the Kölbs Air Cell Cushion is an extremely effective method for reducing pressure and more evenly distributing weight. The individual air cells accommodate deep immersion necessary for pressure prevention and tissue protection. Boney prominences are enveloped by the air cells and the user’s weight is more evenly distributed. In addition, the soft cells contour and adjust to the contact area creating lower shear.
