molded from high-temperature plastic. includes a pressure-sensitive strap kit. splints cannot be modified. also use as molds for low-temperature thermoplastics. measure across mcp joints. latex free.
functional position splints
pre-formed functional position splints position the wrist and hand in approximately 30° of wrist extension, neutral deviation, 35° of mcp flexion, and 20° of pip and dip flexion. the thumb is positioned in opposition and palmar abduction. splints can be modified easily for a custom fit.
sizing guidelines
to determine size, measure the width of the 2nd to 5th mcp.
x-small - up to 2½" (6.4cm)
small - 2½"-3½" (6.4-8.9cm)
medium - 3½"-4½" (8.9-11.4cm)
large - over 4½" (11.4cm)
