in cooperation with leading vascular specialists, jobst engineers have developed the jobst gradient compression seamless anti-embolism elastic stocking. specifically designed to combat thromboembolism, the stocking applies a gradient compression, greatest at the ankle, and gradually decreasing up the length of the leg without tourniqueting or impeding the venous return. the use of anti-em seamless stockings is an accepted prophylaxis for minimizing the risk of thromboembolism in hospitalized patients requiring bed rest or prolonged periods of immobilization. these latex-free stockings feature a convenient opening on top of the foot so the patient’s skin will never touch the floor. latex free.
